Your water professionals at IonWays are proud to announce the creation of the EOS device to address the issue of scale buildup, caused by excessive calcium and magnesium in water. Excessive scale is a challenge that many homeowners, manufacturing and industrial water users around the world have faced for decades.
The buildup of scale can cause poor performance in or damage to hot water heathers, clothes and dishwashers, showerheads and other appliances/fixtures that use water. This situation is compounded when water is ionized as the scale-causing minerals are concentrated further and have a tendency to create the potential for scale buildup on the alkaline spout and connected parts. The traditional approach to hard water problems is sodium or potassium based ion exchange water softeners that waste water and dump high concentrations of salt into sewer systems and septic tanks. The IonWays EOS is an environmentally friendly way to reduce the amount of scale in your ionizer.

Calcium naturally occurs in a crystalline structure that makes it adhere to virtually any surface, creating a hard scale deposit that can accumulate as time passes. These deposits can build up in your pipes and appliances in the home and decrease efficiency of electricity consumption and overall machinery performance in industrial applications. Hard water deposits can also decrease porosity of soil resulting in high water consumption, poor plant development and overly compacted soils. A water ionizer intentionally produces high levels of calcium and is susceptible to scale buildup on the stainless steel spout and connected parts. |

Aragonite crystals typically comprise hard water scale that have a similar feel to sandpaper and can stack very easily. The Vaterite crystalline form created by the EOS is spherical, and since it is virtually impossible to stack ball bearings, scale buildup is virtually impossible. The EOS uses a catalytic process to dramatically change the crystalline structure of calcium carbonate to a smooth soft spherical structure that does not create damaging scale build-up in your ionizer. EOS is NOT magnetic nor sacrificial (does not add anything to the water). The EOS dramatically reduces bothersome scale deposits from forming, and it also dissolves existing calcium carbonate scale buildup (de-scaling effect). |

A vivid example of the impact of changing the physical properties of substances is the element carbon. Under certain conditions, carbon creates one of the hardest substances on earth (diamonds) and can also create an amazingly smooth lubricant when in graphite form, each is 100% carbon.

Developed in the early 1970’s and used in a wide array of commercial and industrial applications, the EOS has now been reduced in size to provide scale protection for your water ionizer in a zero waste, environmentally friendly package. |

- With simple planning, you can install the EOS Device so that it is hidden on your countertop behind your ionizer.
- Alternately, the EOS Device can be attached lengthwise to the back of your ionizer, using ½” Velcro.
- Lastly, if your ionizer has been directly plumbed into your cold water line, then you may install the device into the cold water supply line under the sink.

No maintenance needed. Simply replace approximately every 18-24 months or when scale buildup on end of alkaline spout becomes visible. |
