The Emco Tech Advantage: The Biostone and Ultra-Biostone Filters

The Emco Tech quality extends to the revolutionary 9-stage Biostone filters:

The anti-bacterial granulated activated carbon (GAC) is the primary filtration media in the Biostone. It is the "workhorse" media of the filtration industry. It is virtually100% effective at removing chlorine taste and odor and removes a host of other common contaminants.
The Biostone includes five fiber filtration barriers.
The natural mineral calcium in the filter comes from Japan and is NSF certified.
The Bio-Ceramic tourmaline in the filter emits FIR energy into the water aiding in the ionization process. This material produces an 11 micron, 0.03mA electrical current. It has composite functions such as absorption / repulsion and anion formation etc., which are highly effective for activation tap water. It is produced in Korea, and 100% non-leaching. Finally, all ingredients are put into the filter housing and sealed using high motion heat friction thereby avoiding the need for any harmful chemical glues or adhesives.




Biostone .01 Micron hollow membrane / carbon filter This is an optional upgrade filter available for the Athena and Delphi . Also called a hollow membrane filter this filter is the same size filter that is used in kidney dialysis. It is the finest (smallest micron) domestic filter available and will remove virtually everything except for the essential alkalizing minerals. For well or other untreated water and where there is hyper-allergy issues we recommend the .01M Biostone filter. The picture to the right shows a single .01M hollow membrane filter fiber magnified 40 times . Hundreds of these are in a Biostone Ultra Filter. Below the hollow membrane stage of the filter is 4 fiber filters, silver impregnated Granulated Activated Carbon, Calcium and Bioceramic Tourmaline.
